Spunky Chick from the Country

Fashion has always been a repetition of ideas, but what makes it new it how you put it together

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

So many things have been going on in the last few weeks such as the Mike Ferguson trial and other many other youth related murders, it just remind me of how thankful I am just for life. This thanksgiving I wasn't worried about eating turkey or mac and cheese. All I could think of was showing the people I care for I too care for them. Sometimes even I forget to acknowledge those around me that matter to me I'm thankful for. We may get caught up in our own personal issues but we can't forget to give thanks. The least we can do is try to give thanks to those who deserve thanks everyday once a year on Thanksgiving Day.

Now that I rambled a little bit about my Thanksgiving, lets get to the fun part! This look of the day was very risk taking, it was the perfect look for me because I can be a risk taker at times. The perfect time to be risk taker is around the holidays because no one is actually concerned about what your wearing, so if someone does notice your outfit, you did a great job! Lol

In my look of they day I wore the classic timberland boots I purchased from the Sawgrass Mall in Broward County. I haven't worn timberlands since I was in middle school and ever since then I've been dying to buy me a pair. My original intentions was to wear them out of town but since those plans didn't go through I decided to wear them on good old Thanksgiving. They were $104 after I received a discount of like $12 so I was super ecstatic about that! My shorts were from the Thrift store for only $4. Top plaid button up was from a store in the Sawgrass Mall, FL for $12, and socks were less then a $1 at Walmart. All these colors ended up flowing together and it made the perfect Thanksgiving night outfit.

Hey loves! I've missed typing on this little keyboard writing my blog to all my lovely readers. It's been a week or so, so yes I have been behind, please excuse the delay. This time I decided to do something a little different and embrace my sexy side, with a beach shoot at Fort Lauderdale Beach.

It is not pertaining a specific look, but it is sending a message about loving your body and sexuality. Some may say this was a very sexual shoot and I am sending the wrong message. In my opinion the only messaging I perceive from this shoot is CONFIDENCE. It's very rare for a women to take pictures in a sexy appealing way without feeling like she's naked or being a insecure about her body. This was my first time ever taking professional photos in a bathing suit. It was one of the scariest things I wanted to do because I was so concerned with how other people would look at me.
I got a lot of comments good and bad behind this shoot, and I don't really understand why.

My purpose of this shoot was to embrace my love for my body and share with women you can be sexy without looking like a sex icon. During this photo shoot it gave me a chance to get in tuned with my sexy side and embrace my womanly body curves and all of my wonderful flaws. I don't have a big butt nor do I have big tits, but I am happy with my body. Any women can be sexy but not all women can embrace that beauty and sexiness without receiving validation from someone else. To all those ladies who lack confidence in themselves and their appearance, try complimenting certain qualities of yourself. Doing that repeatedly will eventually show you that you do not need anyone else to tell you your beautiful because you are already fully aware of it yourself.

Simplicity is the key note of all true elegance - CoCo Chanel

Pants: Cinnamon skinny jeans (Thrift Store)

Boots: Black metallic knee high boots (Thrift Store)

Hello my loves, Happy Thursday! Lol .

Todays "Look of the Day" is inspired by all my gorgeous ladies that like to keep it simple and sexy. My boots were the biggest asset to me in this look because without them this would have been an outfit I would have wore to school, but because I have my hooker boots on this is more of a going out look. Going to a lunch date, a casual event such as a football game or a lounge. Its a look you can wear at night or doing the day. I collaborated the colors cinnamon brown and a tan loose shirt/sweater. The weather today in Florida was like 70 degrees, or at least it felt like it. The sun was shining but the light breeze that was flowing threw the knit of my sweater made it the perfect feeling against my skin.

I purchased my shirt, pants, and shoes from my local thrift store located at the Lauderhill Mall. Shirt cost $2-3, pants cost about $5-7, while the shoes cost $8. Cheap yes, but the quality is unbeatable.

Happy Saturday!

Today is such a wonderful sunny day and I feel so vibrant and free! I am working on a lot of projects this upcoming year and I am so excited to embark on this great changing year for me!

Todays "Look of the Day" consist of me mixing sporty and sexy. I love being comfortable so a sports look with a sexy spice makes a nice combination for a nice sunny day her in Florida. I bought my long sleeve white crop underneath the see through cover up from www.karmaloop.com. It was on sale at the time so it was probably between $5-10. I got my shoes from teamwardrobe.com on sale for $56. That was the cheapest price I seen those shoes at that time! I was so excited lol. These overalls make the perfect statement that describes my personality. Overall with ripped denim shorts! They are my favorite set of shorts right now.
This outfit can be worn to any outside event, such as BBQ or a beach party. You can wear it as a casual outfit as well while your out and about. Add a nice pair of timberland boots or some tennis shoes and you can add some comfort to your look.

I bought another pair similar so I will make sure I do a blog post on that outfit as well. It was a cold for a few days out the week in South Florida where temperature dropped to about 55 degrees. I was hoping it was going to stay cold for just a little bit so I can get at least a taste of real fall/winter. My enthusiasm eventually fell short because it immediately got back hot within 2 days. If hot weather continues throughout winter then I guess we will have another Summer in December, and you will see me wear shorts and summery clothing more often.
